Red Beach

Red beach: Beautiful beach approx. 800m from the north part of Matala.
Blue-greenish waters and reddish sand are the characteristics of the nudist friendly beautiful Red beach. Some tamarisk trees will provide some shade but on days with alot of visitors you will have to have your own umbrella.

Location: approx. 68km south of Heraklion and 800m accessible by foot from the north part of Matala.

In various places in Crete you will find open markets where local producers and traders gather to sell their products. Some of them are in: Mires: On Saturdays on the town's main road from 08:00am until 15:00 you will find a variety of products from vegetables and fruits, to clothes and souvenirs. Tymbaki: On Fridays from 08:00am until 14:00 on Tymbaki's main road you will find products that vary from clothes,tools, to fresh fruits and vegetables.

Kokkinos Pyrgos : a small village by the sea with a small port and a long, wide sandy beach with shallow waters. There is a supermarket, mini market, several tavernas, restaurants, cafes and apartments for rental. Places to eat:  There are severas tavernas, restaurants and cafes. Beach : The beach is very wide and long and visitors can use the sunbeds and umbrellas to enjoy their stay at the beach. There is place for parking. Location:  approx. 67km south west of Heraklion.
